How to retrieve data from Project Server database

Hi! I'm asked to write a csharp program that will retrieve the content of a custom field in project server and then automatically put the data into a sharepoint list. I'm absolutely new in project server and sharepoint. Where do I start? Thanks!!!

The first place to start your project would be the Project Server 2007 SDK.
There are two ways to accomplish this:
- You can query the Reporting database using T-SQL commands.
- You can use the PSI web services to query the information you need.

There is no right or wrong choice here, whatever you feel more comfortable with should be the right choice.
