Default Impersonating another user

Is there a way I can impersonate another user in Project Server? One of the PS07 users is having an issue with his My Tasks page in PWA. If it's possible, I would like to log in as that remote user so I can see his screen... Can this be done? How would I go about this?

TIA
~Jimbo

Jimbo,

Other than using the "Sign in as a Different User" functionality, this is not possible without a custom-coded solution. Doing this is fairly complicated and requires strict attention be paid to security, but relevant information can be found in the Project 2007 SDK.

In lieu of doing this, I would recommend using an internal LiveMeeting leveraging UCC, an external desktop sharing service (e.g. GoToMyPC or LiveMeeting), or the Remote Assistance functionality built into Windows XP and above.

HTH,
Steve
