one resource multiple project

hi guys,
i'm newbie in this forum and i'm really exited join this group.
wish you can give me solution about can one resource join to multiple project ( at least 2).
e.g
John is PM in AA Project and a few weeks later John had appointed to be team member of BB Project.
so how to setting this john's permission?
if he in AA project he can save, publish, edit project, etc.
but if he in BB Project, he should not to that.
i tried how to solve that, but till now john still can view, save, publish (PM Role) in BB Project...
