quick launch sub sites appearing after modifying navigation

Hi,

I am having an issue with Project Server where I edit the site navigation to add or remove an item on the quick launch bar. After saving all of the sub-sites/workspaces appear at the bottom of the quick launch bar. Short of deleting the sites, I cannot seem to get rid of them.

Has anyone seen this behavior. Any help would be great.
