Default Attribute Template Mapping Error

We have installed Project server 2007 and project portfolio server 2007 on same m/c and tried to integrate both.

We are receiving error in attribute mapping template which read as follows:

'client found response content type of 'text/html';charset=utf-8,but expected 'text/xml'.The request failed with error message.

ERROR

The file you are attempting to save or retrieve has been blocked from this website by server administrators.

Iam configuring both EPM 2007 and portfolio server with same account which has administrative priviliges on the SSP.

Please let me know how to fix this issue.

Regards,
Prasanth.

Default IIS issues

We were receiving the same error. The solution came from our IIS settings. We used to have project Server on a separate box, and then moved it to the box with portfolio on it. The error arose because our web front end (WFE) was not pointing to the new box. (and the web front end returns html vs. xml) I am not the most technical person, so the best I can do is say that you need to check your IIS settings to make sure it is pointing to your project server correctly.

Regards,
Prasanth.
My guess is you should fix your Project Server definition.
"Project Server Web Service URL" should point to the SSP, e.g. http://servername:56737/SharedServices1
"Project Web Access (PWA) URL" should point to a PWA site, e.g. http://servername/pwa

The above quoted error occurs if you put a PWA site address instead of the SSP address in the "Project Server Web Service URL" field (which obviously is very badly named and causes confusion for every beginner).

The Project Server Management page doesn't check if the URLs are proper, hence you get this error only when MOPPS actually tries connecting to MOPS (template management or import/export, etc).

Cheers,
Tomasz.
