Also note that if you already have a project out there and published with that resource assigned to tasks while the Default Assignment Owner is blank, you can set the Default Assignment Owner in PWA, but you may also need to update the tasks' "Assignment Owner" field. In the project, go to View-->Resource Usage and insert the Assignment Owner field and make the corrections.
All assignments will have an owner, whether it be that resource or someone else (i.e. the Status manager) if the project doesn't find a Default value for the resource in the ERP. I've experienced situations where the new default you populate for the resource doesn't update existing assignments, so you have to update those manually within the project. |
